Speed is a feature your customers notice

Slow pages lose visitors before they see your offer, and Google uses Core Web Vitals as part of its page-experience signals. The three metrics that matter are Largest Contentful Paint (good at 2.5 seconds or less), Interaction to Next Paint (200 milliseconds or less) and Cumulative Layout Shift (0.1 or less), measured from real Chrome users.

Fixed at the source

Many “speed” services install a caching plugin and stop there. I find out why the page is slow and fix that:

• Heavy themes and page builders replaced or trimmed so pages ship only the CSS and JavaScript they need.
• Images converted to WebP/AVIF, correctly sized, lazy-loaded below the fold and prioritised above it.
• Render-blocking scripts deferred, third-party tags audited and fonts self-hosted.
• Layout shifts eliminated by reserving space for images, embeds and banners.
• Server, database and caching tuned, with Cloudflare CDN configured correctly.

Lab data and field data

PageSpeed Insights shows both a Lighthouse lab score and real-user field data from the Chrome UX Report. I optimise for both, aiming for 90+ mobile Lighthouse scores and passing Core Web Vitals in the field — and I’ll tell you honestly when a third-party widget is the bottleneck.
