(01)Overview

A custom restaurant web platform designed to combine brand presentation, online ordering, table reservations, and customer-facing digital experiences into a single system. The project also incorporates a modern restaurant interface with mobile-first ordering and reservation workflows.

02The brief

An established Indian restaurant in Malvern needed one place to present the brand, take orders for pickup and delivery, and manage table reservations — without paying marketplace commission on every regular customer.

03The approach

I designed a warm, premium restaurant interface around the food and the room, then built a custom ordering and reservation system into the same WordPress platform so customers order, book and pay in a single mobile-first flow.

Receipt & kitchen printers

Network printers receive jobs straight from the website — Epson ePOS / Server Direct Print and Star CloudPRNT poll for new orders, so nothing breaks if a counter PC is off. USB printers print from the browser-based dashboard on the counter computer. Every ticket comes from a template with tokens (order number, type, time, items, modifiers, notes, totals, payment status), with auto-print on new orders, separate kitchen and customer copies, and one-click reprint. Kitchen dockets go to the impact printer by the pass, receipts to the thermal printer at the counter.
